• Poor David Tamarkin has nothing much good to say about 33 Club. The caesar salad is pitiful, the lobster-stuffed chicken is “sour and acrid,” and the Kleiner scenesterism is in full force. It’s redeemed at lunch, by a solid cheeseburger and a strong cocktail, but still. [TOC]

• At Jam, Julia Kramer finds that rarest of things: a brunch menu treated with the care and delicacy normally reserved for dinner. From the amuse bouches (yes, in the morning) through french toast and burgers, she’s over the moon. [TOC]
