What to Eat at Hearty, Opening in September

Okay, so it’s crazy long-lead, but if the Hearty Boys (who are converting their brunch-only occasional restaurant into a daily dinner joint) want to share their anticipated September opening menu right now in July, we’re going to write about it — though with attention-grabbing platings like rabbit-sausage corn dogs, how could we not? Our interest is particularly piqued by an oh-so-comforting setup of chicken and porridge, lobster pot pie, and a deconstructed tuna noodle casserole. (Is this a thing? Tuna noodle casserole also recently showed up in a high-end iteration on the brunch menu at Perennial.) If you can’t wait two calendar months to try it all out, tomorrow the Boys will open for a one-night-only preview dinner service, with a summery three-course prix fixe ($35) that includes, yes, the tuna noodle casserole. For reservations, call (773) 244-9866 x 203; keep reading for the full September menu.
