Vive La France en Boston

Bastille Day is today, and what better way to celebrate French independence than with drinking and dining at one of Boston’s French restaurants? Harvard Square and Miel had their celebrations this weekend, but click through for three parties happening tonight.

Beehive is hosting a tribute concert to Serge Gainsbourg, complete with former members of his band being led by his wife (Bambou Gainsbourg, not Jane Birkin) and son. There will also be dinner specials. The party runs from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. and there’s a $10 cover.

Clink will be offering a $39 three-course meal tonight, featuring a frisée aux lardons salad (because what good is a salad without bacon and a poached egg?), red wine braised pork, and cheese. While you’re there, check out the party raging at the Liberty Hotel from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. It’s free!

Sel De La Terre’s celebration is happening in two parts. There will be a $45 four-course dinner (complete with the singing of “La Marseillaise”), and, from 9 p.m. until closing, a party in the downstairs lounge with free pommes frites (!), $3 PBRs (tres French!), and $5 special cocktails.
