Taste of the Nation, Share Our Strength’s annual benefit that raises money to end childhood hunger has announced its lineup and it’s a doozy. Chefs Marc Vetri and Jose Garces are co-chairs and will be cooking at the event, APO is mixing up the cocktails. There’s a full list of participating restaurants on the site, but include Bibou, Blackfish, Bindi, Chifa, Osteria, Noble, Fork and Michael O’Halloran’s as-yet-unopened Kong. Tickets to the August 17 event at the Loews hotel are $75 a pop with the proceeds going to the charity. Last year Danny DeVito showed up (drunk?). We can only hope for an equally entertaining tiny celebrity to make a surprise appearance this time around.
