The Tuesday All Our Cars Were Covered With Food

If you’re tired of plates and bowls, today the universe seems to be sending us not-so-subtle hints that it’s time to start being literal about our food-service vehicles: First, the Tribune notes that an Aurora woman’s car was covered — not once, but twice — with barbecue sauce and pickles, likely the work of a neighbor covetous of the victim’s boyfriend (and, presumably, really getting into the spirit of grilling season). On top of that, the UPI notes that early this morning, a box truck on the south-bound Tri-State was rear-ended by a passenger vehicle, spilling its cargo of 9,000 pounds of Chinese food all over the highway. No one was injured, and presumably no one was hungry either. (Related: Why does no one have pictures of either of these events?) [Tribune; UPI]
