First Look at Frederick Lesort’s New Bistro, André

Frederick Lesort and Antoine Blech of Frederick’s, Jour et Nuit, Orienta, and the Lemon have opened a new restaurant next to Opia, their relaunched lounge in the Renaissance New York Hotel 57 (that being the Renaissance on 57th Street and Park, not the one in Times Square where Chop Suey failed). They’re pitching André (the middle name they share) as a neighborhood hang (perfect for the times!) that’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but our slideshow indicates the interior is all about white tablecloths, sconces, and wainscoting (the highlight of Jordan Mozer’s design might just be the 36 funky red chairs). The head chef is Ted Pryor, who comes off stints in the kitchens of La Goulue, Orsay, and Les Halles. Check out his menu below.
