North Pond has been burgled! The restaurant’s garden, which runs along the east wall of the art deco structure, grows a great deal of the produce and herbs that chef Bruce Sherman uses in his preparations. For the past three or four years running, unscrupulous organic produce devotees (perhaps overeager Green City Market-goers?) have swiped all the rhubarb — but this year they upped the ante: at some point over the weekend, the thieves descended under cover of night and dug up the entire rhubarb plant, absconding with the ill-gotten produce. Is nothing sacred?
