Grezzo will open an outpost in Newburyport, reports the Newburyport Daily News. The raw vegan restaurant will take the place of Bottega Toscano on State Street. Newburyport is something of an unexpected choice for Grezzo’s second location - the seaside town isn’t exactly known for being on the forefront of culinary innovation. Then again, despite its initially intimidating menu (vegan carbonara, anyone?) reviewers have uniformly mentioned that the food can be an unexpected treat for even the most carnivorous among us. The Newburyport Grezzo is expected to open in September.
