Los Angeles has been left off of the Huffington Post’s list of 10 Best U.S. Cities for Local Food, a slight that pains LAist too. Our cuisine has long been synonymous with fresh ingredients from area farmers and many of our celebrated chefs are spied scouting local produce markets daily. Still, the list sticks to crunchy towns that tout their progressiveness like Berkeley and Portland. We think Arianna and her crew need a trip to Gjelina or Sona.
