Il Cane Rosso seems to be settling in at the Ferry Building. The porchetta is a big hit (they were out the other night), and chef/owner Lauren Kiino said they’ve been staying busy. Yesterday, the brand new liquor license kicked in so you can get beer or wine with your lunch/early dinner. Next week they start breakfast service at 7 a.m. Expect to see Andante Dairy yogurt, egg sandwiches, and “some kind of oatmeal-style item, but probably with farro or another grain,” said manager Nikki Boucard. As for coffee, “Blue Bottle’s right next door. We wouldn’t try and compete.”
