Looks like Bounce Deuce wasn’t really trying too hard in the end — records show that during a Health Department inspection shortly before it closed last month, the East Village sports bar was whacked with 71 violation points (a mere 28 points requires a follow-up inspection) for improper food-storage temperatures, evidence of live mice, improper safeguards against contamination, improper toilet maintenance, and of all things, a trans-fat violation (presumably related to its Great Balls of Mac). We’re never eating there again!
