If you missed Rick Bayless at his demo this morning at the Green City Market, you’ll still have a chance to check him out — albeit in virtual form — as he appears on tonight’s third episode of Top Chef Masters. Going up against chefs Wilo Benet, Cindy Pawlcyn, and Ludo Lefebvre in a street food-inspired quickfire challenge should be a walk for Bayless, who’s built his empire on the haute-ification of just that. Bayless seems to have brought home plenty from the competition (even beyond the $100k for charity he allegedly picked up, if you believe the spoilers about his ultimate victory on the show): “I learned a massive amount of stuff just watching other chefs cook and pushing themselves and create outside of my normal bounds,” he told Endless Simmer. “I think every one of us brought our knowledge and experience… Every time we go into menu planning these days, it seems like I’m always bringing something up from Top Chef Masters.”
