The Brookline Police Are No Pushovers

The Brookline Police recently issued temporary liquor license suspensions to two Brookline Village businesses after discovering violations, reports the Brookline TAB. The Brookline Spa was hit with a three day suspension after a clerk sold wine to a minor in a police sting and Matt Murphy’s got a five day suspension after two violations. The Brookline Police: not messing around! This is a sharp contrast to the Boston Licensing Board, which, as an expose last month revealed, has overlooked everything from a doorman putting a customer in a chokehold at The Bell in Hand to a mess of college students passed out outside of McFadden’s. Memo to unscrupulous bar owners: it’s much better to open your law-flouting establishment in Boston proper.
