After countless years of the disorganized riot that was the Taste of Chicago VIP preview, the city has wised up and un-clustered the fuck: Tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Taste Preview will be open to the public. Six booths will showcase food that will be on offer at the Taste proper, including Spanish-style steak from Sabor Latino, samosas from Arya Bhavan, gator sausage from Blue Bayou, and barbecue brisket sandwiches from Manny’s. Bites range from $2-$5, and eating will occur to the aural accompaniment of The Eli Story (who will also be playing at the real Taste, June 26-July 5). [The Stew]
