
The Cub Room hired new chef Richard Carlton back in December, slapped an “under new management” notice up on its homepage, and even introduced a wacky prix fixe, but dishes with suddenly ironic names like “Low Credit High Spirit” and “Light at the End of the Tunnel” couldn’t save it. The restaurant has been repossessed by its landlord, according to Boozy NYC. There was no answer there when called. The Cub Room was about a month shy of its fifteenth anniversary.
