Emporio Gets Beer, Wine, Lunch, and Brunch

After a little over a month, Aurora sibling Emporio has received its beer-and-wine license — good-bye to that absurd limbo of not being able to serve, yet not being able to let folks bring their own! (Now it’s time for restaurants like Brooklyn Star to suffer — a reader reports slim crowds last Saturday night around 10 p.m. Somehow a wood-burning stove and lack of booze just aren’t a turn-on in the summer.) We’re told Emporio’s wine program will focus on Italian and New York bottles starting at $23 to $28. Below is the list of wines by the glass and quartino — keep in mind that, starting today, you can also enjoy them during the new lunch (Monday through Friday, noon till 5 p.m.) and brunch (Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. till 5 p.m.).
