Dine In The Kitchen At One Market

The best table in the house at One Market is the one right next to the kitchen door. This may seem counterintuitive, but we’re not talking about the dining room at all, rather the newly opened chef’s table right in the kitchen. As Urban Daddy reminds us, the restaurant accepts reservations for the corner booth with views of the waterfront, the Bay Bridge, and the stoves. Dinner at the chef’s table is a prix-fixe affair you work out in advance with chef Mark Dommen for $85 per person during the week and $95 on the weekends. A minimum group of four and maximum of seven can book the table, but you can’t book it through OpenTable, and the restaurant recommends calling for it as early as possible, lest you wind up at one of those pedestrian, front-of-the-house tables that only overlooks the bay.
