Cyrano’s Cafe (the seasonal Riverwalk sister restaurant to Cyrano’s Bistrot) has been cited with a number of fire code violations after yesterday’s propane gas explosion, which sent four people to the hospital. Violations include “improper installation of lines and valves on the grill, no apparent certification of installer, improper placement of liquid propane gas tanks and a lack of proper fire suppression or fire extinguishers for restaurant use.” Adding insult to injury, the fire department has also referred Cyrano’s Cafe to both the Buildings Department and the Health Department, just in case.
