Clam Box is a Top Food Stop

Food writer Michael Stern named Ipswich’s Clam Box as one of America’s top fifteen food stops in the Wall Street Journal. Stern, who, along with his wife Jane is best known for the Roadfood books, singled out the Clam Box’s whole fried clam bellies, which, as he noted, have a crust “so fragile, it literally melts.” The list is part of the promotion effort for the Stern’s new book 500 Things to Eat Before It’s Too Late. While we wholeheartedly agree that no one should leave this earth without a trip to the Clam Box, we could say the same for any number of Boston restaurants. What do you think is Boston’s best road food?
