On June 24, Sheep Station’s Québécois owner, Martine Lafond, will celebrate Jean-Baptiste Day by whipping up a couple of new varieties of poutine in addition to her house standard. There’ll be drink specials and giveaways from Unibroue, a Québec brewery that’s also doing a tasting with The Onion this Thursday at Draft Barn. We’ll resist putting Canadian disco fries in the trend column, but it just so happens that, according to Time Out, Québec import TPoutine has opened at 168 Ludlow. Our phone call went unanswered and there’s no news of the opening on the store’s Twitter page, but when it does open, it’ll reel in Ludlow Street drunks with a burger-inspired poutine as well as other varieties. The menu is here.
