SEPTA Rehab Projects Include Restaurants

Over 50 SEPTA stations are going to get makeovers in the next five years, after years upon years of neglect. The Inky reports that the stations getting beauty (and functionality and cleanliness and safety) treatments, haven’t been upgraded since they were built 100+ years ago, and now, “SEPTA is looking for new uses for old stations - as coffee shops, restaurants, offices, and apartments - to help preserve them and save the agency money.” Leases for for either coffee shops or restaurants are currently held in Ambler, Doylestown (Freight House Cafe), Glenside, Gwynedd Vly, Jenkintown (Zeigler Good Food), Lansdale, Mt. Airy, Souderton (Caboose Grille), Telford, and Upsals.
