The Philadelphia Brewing Company and Slow Food Philadelphia are coming back with another round of their annual Slow Food Pig Roast Fundraiser! The pig roasting will happen from 1pm-4pm on May 30, and we’re going to assume that the porks in question are locally raised, and fed nothing but sustainable feed and organic grasses (and same for the veggie options available). Since it’s at the Philadelphia Brewing Co., you can also count on lots of beer. Oh, and one more thing — attendance is a political statement on two levels: not only will your ticket make a statement about the slow food movement; you’ll also get to be a Swine Flu reactionary. Tickets are $38 and benefit Slow Food Philly.
