Lots Of Chef Shuffles Mean Lots Of Job Openings

It seems this whole town is one big chef shuffle right about now. In addition to the last minute substitution of Randy Lewis for Erica Holland-Toll at the upcoming Tavern at Lark Creek that was illuminated in the SF Weekly yesterday, rumors have been circulating about staff walkouts at Aqua. Eater reported two weeks ago that chef Ron Boyd had left, and today, Scoop has it that two sous chefs and two line cooks are also heading out. Scoop also has word that Jonnatan Leiva, who we previously reported was in talks with the Plumpjack Group to move to one of their restaurants, might be heading to Farm, at Napa’s Carneros Inn. And judging by the number of job openings on Craigslist right now (pastry assistants needed at Town Hall and Greens, chef de partie needed at Coi, servers needed at Zuni Cafe and Delfina, and on and on), we’d say plenty of employees are feeling restless, and the time is right for snapping up those jobs.
