The Public Health Council unanimously approved a measure this morning that requires all restaurant chains with twenty or more locations in the state to post their calories, reports the Globe. This means that when you want to order, say, a grilled chicken, tomato, basil, and mozzarella sandwich from Cosi Sandwich Bar, you’ll do so with the knowledge that it contains 722 calories. Almost 5,300 restaurants in the state will be affected by the new measure, which takes effect in November 2010.
