Meat Cleaver Attack Suspect Arrested

The Red Jade kitchen must have been quite a sight when neighboring business owner Richard Reyes walked in after hearing two employees fight, then seeing one running away with a meat cleaver. He told the San Jose Mercury News that the blood was, “all over the place. It was all over his back… You could see some of his muscles hanging out.” For a while, police didn’t exactly know who they were looking for. “The suspect, who may go by the name Michael Chen, Chen Chun or Chun Chen, apparently left the complex via a side entrance and ran onto Park Boulevard, police said.” But a bookkeeper at the restaurant helped them track down Chun Chen to his Fremont home where they arrested him yesterday. Really, though, for all the murderous implements hanging around most kitchens, it’s a wonder chef squabbles don’t turn bloody more often. God help the pair that gets in a fight at butcher class].
