Leftovers: Summer Wines on Saturday, Pork on Thursday

• The next Bud Break goes down this Saturday, May 9, at Press Club, with an afternoon tasting of summer wines.

• On Sunday, May 10, Hoss Zare, of Zare At Fly Trap, is hosting a “Mediterranean Dinner Benefit” for Meals on Wheels. Your $200 ticket gets you a cocktail reception, a five-course Mediterranean dinner, and wine pairings.

• It’s San Francisco Cocktail Week next week, yes, but it’s also American Craft Beer Week, and the Toronado is celebrating on two nights: Go Wednesday, May 12 for a variety of Lagunitas specials, then go back Thursday, May 13 for a special tasting menu and draft specials.

• Also Thursday, May 12, stop by the Bloodhound for another pork-fest with Ryan Farr. $25 gets you all the meat you can hold, including whole grilled pig, corn dogs, and those famed chicharrones.
