Fort Greene’s French-Moroccan hideaway, Kif, has reopened its burlap-tented back garden, and there are a few improvements this year. First of all, owner Djamal Zoughbi has more than doubled his capacity (to about 40 seats) by annexing the backyard next door. This allowed him to install a seven-foot screen that will show classic French films, as well as a small stage for reggae acts and other musical performers. And chef Abdhul Traore (a former partner in Les Enfants Terribles) plans to use a new barbecue pit to grill whole fish as well as to prepare African dishes with vegetables grown in the garden. Take a look at our slideshow and picture yourself toking off of a hookah.
