After 22 years of infusing downtown Isleton with annual doses of shellfish and tourists, the Isleton Crawdad Festival has been canceled. The Sacramento ABC affiliate reported that the town pulled the plug on the Fathers’ Day weekend event after too many vendors bailed out to make it worth the cost. The festival’s website says the event will go back on next year, but a commenter on our site claims it so crawdad lovers, cross your claws. [News10 via commenter Brian]
