Hot Doug’s Gets A Sriracha Shout-Out

The New York Times is trying to find a dish containing sriracha — “pan-Asian hot sauce that everyone from recent immigrants to third-generation Midwesterners have come to love” — at restaurants in every state in our fair nation. The Illinois contender? Unsurprisingly, it’s Hot Doug’s chicken sausage with Sriracha mustard.

Of course, for purists, you can get a side of the stuff straight-up for 50¢ with your takeout at Japonica. Or you could just buy a bottle. [Diner’s Journal]
