We hear from an employee of the restaurant currently known as Union Prime that it was closed last night because it’s undergoing yet another transformation (you’ll recall it was Café Society, and before that Steak Frites for fifteen years). The funny part? It’s reverting to Steak Frites! An employee at the current Steak Frites in the West Village (soon to become Lucy Browne’s, a comfort-food spot) told us that no date has been set yet for the move back to Union Square, but that the restaurant will have more or less the same menu. And there you have it — everything old is new again!
