Chef Hans Aeschbacher Moving from Smith & Wollensky to Trader Vic’s

The Stew reports that Chef Hans Aeschbacher, who for ten years has manned the stoves at Smith & Wollensky, is trading in steaks for pu-pu platters: He’s going to be heading up the kitchen at Trader Vic’s. Word is that the Trader Vic’s team lured the boldface-name-friendly chef with “a $50,000 signing bonus, as well as a fat salary and other considerations.” That’s a lot of mai tais. [The Stew]
