It won’t be happening for more than another two months, but we highly suggest you buy your tickes to the Green City Market’s annual Chef’s BBQ right the heck now. Selling out every year (with absolutely no tickets sold at the door), the event just might be our favorite summertime activity: it’s a giant, awesome picnic in Lincoln Park, with food from basically every chef in Chicago whose restaurant you’ve been meaning to visit.

Organized by the Green City Market team, $60 ticket ($15 for kids) lands you wine, beer, and all the samples of local food you can battle the crowds for, not to mention music, cameraderie, and a wonderful time in celebration of local, sustainable food. Heck, even the plates and utensils are sourced to be biodegradable. And if last year’s event is anything to go on, it’ll be worth every penny.
