If you thought A5 Steak Lounge sounded suspiciously like A16, you’re not alone. Shortly after the lounge (named after the highest grade of beef) soft-opened in February, A16 (named after a highway in Italy) challenged them on the similar sounding name, threatening a lawsuit. After months of mediation and legal back-and-forth, A5 is now 5A5, and is due to officially open as such tomorrow. The dust-up left us wondering: will the new Michael Mina venture RN74 — named after a highway in France — find itself similarly challenged? Sources say no.
