The Other Critics: Masa, Asana, and Bond Are All Just Okay

• Courtney Cox (not that one) gives Cafe 47 three stars. The music is too loud and the risotto too alcholic, but other than that, it’s perfectly lovely. [Weekly Dig]

• Devra First checks out the Woburn outpost of Masa and drops two stars. It’s basically the South End original, but everyone is ten years older and the food is less spicy. [Globe]

• Cheap Eats heads down to Somerville’s Pho ‘N Rice and finds excellent cheap pho. Warning: the non-pho selections are hit or miss. [Globe]

• It’s two stars for Bond from Robert Nadeau. It’s pricey, but the food is good. Too bad it’s money (and not James Bond) themed. [Phoenix]

• On The Cheap stops by a post-fire Hanmaru to remind us about the restaurant’s killer gamjatang (pork spine stew). [Phoenix]

• It’s a B- for Asana from Mat Schaffer. The food and service are inconsistent, but there’s a larger issue: why would you pay these kinds of prices for meh food when L’Espalier and Sel De La Terre are in the same building? [Herald]
