OMFG: Pecan and Bacon Lace Cookies

There was a lot about the recap of Sky Full of Bacon’s Southern-style dinner party that got our stomachs a-rumbling, but the one thing that really blew us out of the water was a photograph of a lacy, buttery cookie made out of bacon.

It was brought to the party by Art and Chel, the chef-bloggers behind Pleasant House, and because they are kind and loving people who want us to be happy, they have posted the recipe on their site: Chelsea’s Pecan and Bacon Lace Cookies.

Of the cookie, Chel says “truth be told, I was hoping to fly under the radar with this recipe … I was a bit sheepish about contributing to the bacon-as-a-dessert trend that was, admittedly, popular a few years ago. Although these taste great and are a smart pair with my bourbon-molasses ice cream, I was concerned that most people would find them derivative or more akin to some spectacular state fair-type concoction.” Psh. Even if we might have mentioned before that we think bacon is over, bacon is never really over.
