DIY Deep Dish: A Second Attempt

Avid Paupered Chef-watchers know that the last time Nick Kindelsperger attempted deep-dish pizza (part of his ongoing unofficial attempt to make at home virtually every iconic Chicago foodstuff), the results were not ideal. Nick vowed to keep trying, and his second attempt departs from the Pequod’s model — instead of a thick crust with a thin layer of toppings, he goes with a thin crust, high sides. In a cake pan. And it makes really delicious pizza.
