Oh yes, it’s happening — by the looks of a Craigslist posting seeking employees, Table 8 in the Cooper Square Hotel is finally close (May 5, last time we checked with the chef). Meanwhile, we hear the hotel’s penthouse hosted the much-ballyhooed secret “Save Beatrice” party on Friday (Down by the Hipster has a report). It was open bar, so not exactly a fund-raiser. And if you missed it, we’re told Paul Sevigny may D.J. at Ryan McGinley’s Thursday-night party at BEast. The Post just named that one of the city’s hottest parties.
