Whip out your aprons and sharpen your knives (figuratively speaking): there are a couple good cooking demonstrations this weekend that it would be a shame to miss.
• On Saturday, Gianluca Demontis of Melograno will be at Foster’s, exhibiting what goes into making traditional trattoria food. As always, cooking demonstrations at Foster’s are free, so there’s no practical excuse not to show.
• Chef Chris Koch will be presiding over a knife skills demonstration at the Marketplace at East Falls on Saturday. The slicing and chopping begins at 1pm, when he’ll show off his techniques, and then answer questions about how to wield knives like a pro. [uwishunu]
