Its number might be disconnected, but Cha Cha’s tells us it plans to reopen on the Coney Island boardwalk this weekend (probably Sunday). And now Ruby’s has sent out an announcement saying it’ll be in business too: “Ruby’s Opening Day is once again upon us for 2009 season. After successful negotiations with Thor Equities — Ruby’s Bar & Grill will open on Easter Sunday, April 12th at 12 pm.” Peggy O’Neill’s is also present and accounted for, and the recently expanded Coney Island Circus Slideshow Freak Bar is currently open on weekends and will be dispensing Sword Swallower lager from Wednesday onward starting the third weekend in June. We know where we’ll be this weekend! (Um, assuming it isn’t snowing.)
