The Beatrice Inn is still closed and Paul Sevigny can’t quite believe it. “We’ve never been shut down more than a few hours,” he said last night at a Doe Fund event at Kiehl’s. Sevigny wouldn’t get into details on his court battle — “it’s like a two-hour conversation” — but attributed the city padlock on his door to an “old, obscure building code.” His sister Chloe blamed the closure on “other haters, probably because they couldn’t get in.” They also won’t be able to get into tonight’s party for friends of the bar, an event with a mystery location that Sevigny called “Camp Beatrice.”
