Our latest favorite food show hosts, Big John and Gus, are back with a second episode of We Eatin. This time they hit up Phat Philly, the cheese steak joint that moved into the 3300 block of 24th Street last December.
This venue was a brand new Mediterranean place called Zain’s when we lived on that block 10+ years ago. Zain’s had a good run, and was good for our vegetarian ways at the time. If we lived there now, though, we’d definitely prefer Phat Philly’s. Owner Isaac Mogannam does a quick interview in this episode, where he talks about sourcing grass-fed, American Kobe beef and making cheddar beer sauce with Newcastle brew. You hungry?
