According to the Observer, none other than the impeccable Barry Wine of the great Quilted Giraffe has been tapped to return the Rainbow Room to its former glory once the Ciprianis vacate in August — which should bring an end to rumors aired on other blogs that the room might be converted into office space. [NYO] Update: Wine tells the Times: “I’m looking for the best operators in the world… It should be that iconic John D. Rockefeller supper club with all the glamour, so New Yorkers can get dressed up and have a good time.”
