Cave Cibum’s Pam has a truly harrowing service tale from a recent Restaurant Week meal at Locke-Ober. Pam writes that after paying the check, her waiter returned to the table with a calculator to show just how she had under-tipped. Regardless of whether she had or had not (Pam says that she tipped normally), this is clearly unacceptable service, especially at a restaurant of Locke-Ober’s caliber. At least one Cave Cibum commenter remarked that, had they been in Pam’s shoes, they wouldn’t have tipped at all and we have to agree. What would you have done?
