Grill 23 Goes Budget-Friendly With $23 Bottles Of Wine

Everyone knows infamous Back Bay staple Grill 23 to be one of the most popular steakhouses in Boston. But in the interest of keeping your bank account intact while consuming the previously-mentioned steak, the Grill’s wine director Alex DeWinter has developed an interesting plan to keep the alcohol portion of your bill a little more down-to-earth. In keeping with the restaurant’s name, for a select time the Grill will offer $23 bottles of wine on Sundays and Mondays in the dining and bar area. DeWinter cites a few of his favorites from the list on the restaurant’s website, but each of the wines comes from somewhere amidst the United States, Spain, Italy, or France. Compared to the typical bill for a European vacation, the Grill’s option is a bargain basement escape from everyday life. So avoid a monthly credit card bill that looks like you just came home from a week-long vacation in Bologna, and pick a $23 bottle of your choice at Grill 23. Finally, there’s a middle ground between that bottle of wine that breaks the bank, and the sad little bottle of Two-Buck Chuck hiding in the back of your cabinet.
