Barlow’s Restaurant will open in Fort Point in May, reports the Globe. Owned by Superior Dining Group, the folks behind the Warren Tavern and Devlin’s, Barlow’s will be an upscale bistro. The opening of Barlow’s is just one more step in the years-long foodification of Fort Point. Where visitors to the Children’s Museum or the neighborhood’s artists’ studios once had to rely on the Hood bottle for their sustenance, they can now choose from farm-to-table small plates (Persephone), perfect sandwiches and pastries (flour bakery + cafe), high-end Italian (Sportello), and countless other choices. Hell, there’s even customized cocktails at Drink. Forget the Next Big Thing: these days, Fort Point is an official dining destination.
