Newyorkology, which yesterday revealed that New York Water Taxi was looking at two new Water Taxi Beach locations, has it today that one of them will be on Governors Island. According to a press release:
Water Taxi Beach/Governors Island will be a laid back, on the waterfront, beach experience of sun, fun, food and music; with tons of sand, beach volleyball, a café and outdoor grill, a stage for live performances and basketball courts. No swimming allowed. The food will focus on sustainability and the Beach will host birthday parties, family celebrations and corporate events.
And this is just one of possibly two Manhattan locations opening this season. Eater is also on the story, and reports: “One Manhattan location will offer both salads (yes, salads) and numerous different kinds of wurst. Harry Hawk just left Colonge [sic], Germany where he was doing wurst research. Today, he’s looking into tapas in Barcelona. At the second Manhattan location, expect a raw bar and fish and chips (similar to those once offered at Schnack).”
