More on Johnny Iuzzini’s Cocktail Concept

Pastry playboy Johnny Iuzzini tells the Restaurant Girl a little bit more about the cocktail bar he’s working on with Dave Arnold of the French Culinary Institute. So far, they don’t have a space or investors, but with three months of training at PDT under his belt, Iuzzini is confident he’ll be offering drinks that are “flavor forward, they will pop, and they will be fresh and new.” He’s only created two cocktails — PDT’s Concord-grape concoction, the Heirloom, as well as the East Village Globe Trotter, which he came up with for his girlfriend (sorry, ladies) — but with a Japanese spherical ice press and Dave Arnold’s alcoholic pickle-and-liquid-nitrogen martini in the mix, you know this is going to be good. The two are also pitching a TV show.
