
Some chefs in town have been salmonella-spooked into stripping peanut butter from their menus, the Times noted this week, but there are still plenty of fearless dessert-makers supplying the forbidden spread. Of course, many brands on store shelves are completely safe to spoon up, but here’s a list of sweets around town if you want to leave your peanut fix to the professionals. We’ve also named the pro’s sources for peanuts. Curiously, a rep from Baked NYC told us their purveyor recommended Skippy as a safe brand. Let’s just say Skippy’s business is looking up.
