Did you participate in the Eat Local Challenge, in which you eat only local foods for a whole month? Yeah, us neither. Because it’s hard and you have to keep eating the same four things all month long. While eating local is really great and super good for everything, it can be a chore to actually do.
Fortunately (or not), there is a really simple tool that can give you one less excuse not to go local. Stumbling Epicures brings word of this local foods wheel, which shows you what’s in season where you are. Neat, eh? And in its current beta form, it’s only available for the San Francisco and New York metropolitan areas. So it’s kind of exclusive right now, too.
Anyway, if you’re so inclined, get ahold of one of these and give it a spin. We’d be interested to hear how it works, too, as it seems unlikely we’ll actually use it (unless, of course, it comes to light that super burritos are made of strictly local ingredients).
