SFist is reporting, via Curbed, that the weirdly shaped restaurant at the corner of Market, Sanchez, and 15th streets is on the chopping block, to be replaced by an “over-50-foot-tall mixed-use building with ground-floor commercial, 22 residential units, and underground parking.”
We’d be wagging fingers and shaking heads with caution, invoking the spectre of cursed spaces (you ever seen someone enter Thai Corner Express, which is there now? Us neither), were it not for the success of an identically shaped parcel a couple blocks down at Market and Church. That space looked a little cursed for a while, but Home finally settled in there, and has made a success. Perhaps the same luck will grace this new extravaganza of a real estate venture.
